Matt and Beckett - 6 weeks of fun

Matt managed to front load his rotations in his 4th year of medical school leaving 6 weeks before his residency started.  His first day off was April 30th, Beckett's birthday, and he spent the rest of the 6 weeks watching and playing with Beckett each day.  What a wonderful time for both of them, and I can safely say I was a bit jealous watching them do so many fun things and little Beckett become even more attached to his papa.  It's been a rough transition having Matt start residency last week and Beckett sure is missing him, but they'll never forget this fun time.

Below are some adorable pictures of their adventures.  Each day Matt thought up something fun for them to do, from train rides at the zoo, to visiting many parks, having picnics, to learning to ride his scoot.  They also made me some beautiful paintings for mother's day and each Tuesday would go ride the Tram, Beckett's favorite.  I love my boys!

Bend Trip - Memorial Day Weekend

During Matt's break before residency we wanted to fit in a trip.  We started with some big ideas, but ended up in Sunriver, OR for 5 days and loved every minute.  Well, almost every minute; I could have done without the snow, considering it was Memorial Day weekend and I was ready for Summer.  But it was a blast.  We visited all our favorite spots, did a ton of bike riding, hiking, canoeing, and swimming.  Below are some of the highlights.
Beckett was surprisingly good on the canoe trip and enjoyed sharing his granola bar with the ducks.
Yes, this was the day it snowed, and we really didn't bring snow gear (see the sand bucket...)
Those Sunriver bike trails are amazing:)
Beautiful hike and we stopped to do a little skinny dipping, from the bottom down:).  It was too cold to go all the way in!
